My aim is to create a non-judgmental, supportive space for you to build a healthy, pleasurable relationship with yourself and create fulfilling intimate relationships with others.

Sex is a fundamental part of being human, deeply tied to our emotional and physical well-being. Despite its importance, our culture often discourages open conversations about sex, leaving many people feeling isolated, frustrated, or unsure of how to address sexual challenges in their lives and relationships.

I believe that everyone deserves a fulfilling and shame-free sex life. My goal is to empower you to embrace pleasure and connection in all aspects of your life. By taking a holistic approach, I focus on how different areas of your life intersect and shape your sexual health and experiences.

I draw from several therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and somatic experiencing approaches, which have their roots in Black and Indigenous communities throughout the world. Through these approaches, I help clients release internalized negative beliefs and past traumas that may hinder their sexual functioning and disrupt personal relationships.

My clinical interests include treating sexual trauma, genito-pelvic pain/penetration disorder, body image and self-esteem issues, sexual and relationship dissatisfaction, and exploring individual sexuality. I also work to help clients release fear, shame, and anxiety related to sex. I practice through a culturally sensitive lens. I am LGBTQIA+ and poly affirming.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Howard University. I am a provisionally licensed social worker in Maryland (License No: 31847) and receive supervision from Sara Brown, LCSW-C (MD #15610) and Andrea Battiola, Ed.S, LPC (DC #PRC14849), to support my growth as a clinician.

Professional biography

What is one book that has really influenced your work as a Couples & Sex Therapist?

↓ Fun Facts:

Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling Good by Adrienne Maree Brown. I love Adrienne's work. This book continues to help me explore and challenge the sociopolitical underpinnings of who is told they can experience pleasure in American society, and in what ways that shapes how so many of us feel good in our bodies and relationships.
