Feel free to save the polished version of yourself for the boardroom, the briefing room, Capitol Hill, or wherever your job requires you to be “on.” You do not have to perform here.

I will meet you virtually in a cozy sweater, jeans, and sneakers, with a cup of coffee in hand. You can speak openly, ask the uncomfortable questions, and show up exactly as you are.

I have been drawn to honest conversations about sex and pleasure since I was a young adult. Everyone deserves a space to talk about these parts of life, without embarrassment, judgment, or shame. Pleasure is not selfish or something you have to earn. It is a healthy and meaningful part of being human.

With more than 17 years of experience as an occupational therapy assistant, I have supported clients through a wide range of physical, neurological, and behavioral challenges in diverse healthcare settings. My position at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center offered the unique privilege of working with active-duty service members addressing issues of sexual health, intimacy, gender-affirming care, and relationships as a Certified Sexuality Occupational Therapy Practitioner. These experiences sparked my transition into a midlife career of couples and sex therapy.

My approach is holistic, practical, and pleasure-centered. Drawing from attachment theory, the Gottman Method, cognitive behavioral therapy, evidence-based sex therapy, mindfulness, and my rehab background, we’ll explore the mind-body connection, challenge myths and misinformation, strengthen communication, and help you build pleasurable relationships that feel authentic, connected, and fulfilling.

As a bisexual woman married to another woman, I understand the importance of affirming care. I welcome individuals and couples of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures.

I am under the direct supervision of Jennifer Keilholtz, LPC, LCPC while attending the University of Kentucky's Master in Counseling Psychology program.

Professional biography

What is one book that has really influenced your work as a Couples & Sex Therapist?

↓ Fun Facts:

My progressive catholic grandmother recently gifted me a book from her collection: The Sex Factor in Marriage by Helena Wright (1931). Written nearly a century ago, it was wildly ahead of its time, emphasizing that sexual pleasure is an essential component of healthy relationships rather than a taboo topic.

My copy includes the original 1931 U.S. Customs approval letter stating that the book was not considered obscene and could legally be imported into the United States. Wright’s work reinforces the philosophy I hope to bring to my own practice: Pleasure, intimacy, and authentic connection are fundamental parts of human well-being, not luxuries or subjects to avoid.

How would your clients describe you?

Sincerely curious, laid-back, direct, quirky, and funny when appropriate.

When you’re not at your therapy desk, what can we find you doing?

You’ll find me at a Capitals or Washington Spirit game, at the shooting range, or enjoying time with my wife and our furry toddler, Moose, the mini-Aussie. When it’s hot out, or the ticks are thick, we get creative indoors—most recently, mastering DIY nails and lashes.
